On Wednesday July 23, 2014 Blandine Mahler of Edmonton passed away at the age of 89, predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, Walter Mahler. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Siegfried (Maria) Mahler, Maggie Mahler, Harold (Susan) Mahler; three grandchildren, Dana Mahler, Derek and Matthew Ellis-Toddington; four great grandchildren, Dante, Christina, Anita, and Joseph Mahler, as well as many other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (9155-79 Avenue) on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Strecker-Baseler officiating. Interment to follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial donations kindly accepted for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta. The family of Blandine would like to express their deepest appreciation for the care and support of the staff in Unit 53 of the Grey Nuns Hospital.
